Considering bringing a dog? Review our location-specific policy before applying. Starlite Ranch considers one dog per cabin on a case-by-case basis, with prior written approval. Northwest Corpus Christi does not allow ordinary pets.
Dog policy at a glance

These are the current published charges for an approved pet dog at Starlite Ranch. Applicable amounts are entered in your lease before it is sent for signing.
$350 nonrefundable pet fee
An approved ordinary pet requires a one-time $350 nonrefundable pet fee. This is not a security deposit or damage deposit.
$25 monthly pet rent
Monthly pet rent is $25 per approved dog and is due with regular monthly rent.

Basic dog requirements
Dogs are reviewed individually, case by case.
- Advance written approval required
- Maximum one approved dog per cabin
- Current photo, breed or breed description, approximate age and weight required
- Answer the application’s dog-history questions to the best of your knowledge; explain any disclosed incidents or unknown history
- Proof of current rabies vaccination as required by law
- Dog must remain under resident control outside the cabin
- No roaming, aggressive, threatening or persistently disruptive behavior
- Resident must immediately pick up and properly dispose of dog waste
Resident responsibility
Pet charges do not replace responsibility for damage.
Residents remain responsible for pet-related damage, excessive cleaning, odor remediation, pest treatment, repair or replacement costs beyond normal wear and tear.
The $350 pet fee and $25 monthly pet rent do not limit that responsibility.
Unauthorized ordinary pets, including regular pet-sitting or temporary possession of another person's dog, are subject to the lease and pet-policy requirements.
When you are away
Required care and floor protection for pet dogs.
These requirements apply to approved pet dogs at Starlite Ranch.
- House-training: Approved pet dogs must be house-trained.
- Safe containment: Whenever left unattended inside the cabin, the dog must be safely contained in a management-approved, appropriately sized crate or secure exercise pen. The dog must have room to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably, with access to water and safe indoor temperatures.
- Waterproof floor protection: The enclosure must have a durable, waterproof bottom and floor-compatible waterproof protection beneath the entire enclosure. A pen placed directly on cabin flooring or loose absorbent pads alone does not meet this requirement. Keep the protection clean, intact and dry underneath.
- Bathroom breaks and care: Residents must arrange breaks and care appropriate to their dog’s age, health and needs. During long absences, arrange to return home or use a caregiver, dog walker or daycare. All-day crating without adequate breaks is not an acceptable care arrangement.
- Approval before move-in: Describe the proposed containment setup and bathroom-break arrangement to management and obtain approval before bringing the pet dog to the cabin.
- Cleanup and reporting: Clean accidents promptly using a floor-compatible product. Promptly report persistent odor, repeated accidents or damage to management and arrange a revised care plan if the existing setup is not preventing soiling.
Residents remain responsible for pet-related damage and excessive cleaning as provided in their lease. Service and other qualifying assistance animals are handled separately through the reasonable-accommodation process; contact management about any needed accommodation.
Two Starlite locations, different pet policies
Starlite Ranch is the dog-friendly location.
Starlite Ranch / US-77 South: one dog may be accepted with advance written approval, a $350 nonrefundable pet fee and $25 monthly pet rent.
Northwest Corpus Christi: remains no-pets for ordinary pets.

Service animals and other qualifying assistance animals are not pets. Requests for reasonable accommodation at either location are evaluated separately in accordance with applicable fair-housing requirements. Call or text 361-660-8121 to discuss a request.
